​"The Southwark Education Research Project (SERP) was initiated by O+I in negotiation with the Inner London Education Authority [ILEA] and London Borough of Southwark during the latter months of 1989. 
Piloted in Southwark as a typical microcosm of contemporary British society, O+I was asked to address 'Change' during the educational restructuring from the perspective and function of the role of contemporary art in education, its relevance to motivation and learning.....

Working together with Peckham Platform on the SERP Re-activated project involved an extensive research into the original SERP Archive, video histories and co-ordination of projects between artist Barby Asante and students at Charter School, leading research sessions with UAL students towards the programme at Tate Exchange.
